We asked three of our advisors – Reagan Le, Allyson Trochez and Rosa Chavez – for their advice to students.  The weeks left until summer are quickly flying by, so we hope that this Q&A will help you with the last few weeks of spring term!

As the end of week five approaches, we know that students have been overloaded with projects, papers and midterms. Even though it may seem like winter term is moving at full speed, don’t give up on doing well in your classes! And always remember that we, the Center for Multicultural Academic Excellence (CMAE), are here to support you.

The Center will provide resources and programs in three areas: Academic Enrichment, Multicultural Inclusion & Support and Graduation & Post-Graduation Success.  Our staff is available to assist students.  Our work is grounded in ideals of diversity, social justice and equity.

Our Mission

The Center for Multicultural Academic Excellence is committed to the access, retention and engagement of under-represented and multiple identity students. CMAE provides and supports leadership development, cultural programming, academic services and dedicated space.  Our commitments include:
