CMAE Excellence Award

Nominate yourself or someone else for the CMAE Excellence Award which will honor students of color who have demonstrated academic success, excellent leadership ability, and strong campus and community involvement at the University of Oregon.

Celebrate Undergraduate Achievement Week

May 21- 25th - includes the Indigenous Peoples, Climate Change and Environmental Knowledge Conference, the UO TeachOut, the 2nd Annual Undergraduate Symposium  and much more!

The Center for Multicultural Academic Excellence (CMAE) is a pilot program at the University of Oregon.

CMAE Areas

The Center will provide resources and programs in three areas: Academic Enrichment, Multicultural Inclusion & Support and Graduation & Post-Graduation Success.  Our staff is available to assist students.  Our work is grounded in ideals of diversity, social justice and equity.

Our Mission

The Center for Multicultural Academic Excellence is committed to the access, retention and engagement of under-represented and multiple identity students. CMAE provides and supports leadership development, cultural programming, academic services and dedicated space.  Our commitments include:

  • Ensuring that every student of color has access to the resources they need to be successful at the UO and beyond.
  • Ensuring that all students are provided with opportunities to explore, understand and affirm the complexities of cultural identity that shape the human experience.
