GPS Mentor Program

Navigating the path to academic, personal and professional success

The Center for Multicultural Academic Excellence is pleased to announce the GPS Mentor Program. The GPS Mentor Program works to promote personal, academic and professional growth for each student through close working relationships with faculty and graduate student mentors, academic and professional advisors, local professionals and alumni. The goal is to enrich undergraduate students’ experiences and support them for success in and out of the classroom, as well as in their pursuit of graduate study and/or professional careers.

Through this program students will develop academic and professional goals, and will be coached on how to meet those goals. Participants will engage in programs and activities that will improve their critical thinking, communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.

This program will target students from historically underrepresented populations. We want to support these students for an enriching experience, successful completion, graduation, and beyond.

 Who is eligible to participate?

  • The GPS Mentor Program is open to UO sophomores, juniors and seniors.
  • IMPACT Mentors are encouraged to participate in this program as Mentees
  • Any student who is interested in participating in the GPS Mentor Program can contact us at: gpscmae@uoregon.edu
